Sophomore Internship to FT

How possible would it be to go from a sophomore internship at a BB to a full time offer if you plan to graduate early?

Have you ever heard of this happening before? What tips would you have for someone who wants to accomplish this.

I plan on asking my firm if this is possible. If not I can stay on the standard route. But I’m curious if I should ask in the first place.
