Can anyone in the industry share insight about firms adding IBD offices to south Florida? I have heard rumors about GS and JPM moving some IB to south Florida but nothing outside of those two firms. I am in college and would like to know which firms may potentially have spots in south Florida by the time I apply.

Highly unlikely significant amount of IBD really moves to Florida. Maybe a handful of people in a satellite office covering FL clients, and a good chunk of MO/BO who don't need to be in the very expensive real estate in NYC.
Bumping this because I just saw a recruiter posting about EBs and MMs with positions in South Florida. I know that Oppenheimer has a small HC office and HL has what I thought was an office just for senior bankers, but has anyone else respectable moved front office banking roles down there? What EB roles could possibly be down there?
