Starting a Masters given the current environment

Hi, I am a second year analyst in risk working in the BB. Wanted to move to IB and to do that shift, I intended to start a masters at a top business school. I graduated with a first class from a target school. Do you guys think that it is a good idea given that we are heading towards a recession? I intended to apply for summer internship positions for the 2021 summer analyst class. How much do u think the class intake/conversion rates next year will be impacted by the recent coronavirus outbreak? P.s I already got the offer for the masters and contemplating whether I should pay the deposit fee.

I am taking the same course , was going to try to switch from what I’m doing now towards investment banking. Obviously it’s not going to happen now for a while.
