STEM Majors who did IB, do you feel like you wasted your education?
For the STEM majors who went to a target and then ultimately ended up working in IB, do you have a lingering feeling that your education up to that point was entirely unrelated to what you do now, and you wasted years of time/resources to pivot?
I see this pipeline at my school a lot, and I'm not sure how ISEF medalists and biochem researchers are so fine with throwing away all that accumulated knowledge to begin learning an entirely new skillset - it feels like starting from 0 again.
