Ahaha I hope so man.. Was hoping to see if the experience of working long hours was for me, but I am in a way better spot now than most millenials. I also don't have to blow $500 on state and liberty shirts

"Deal_Team_6" Good look. Honestly, SAs would get a lot more out of a summer that was all training / case studies, etc. rather than 10 weeks of simple powerpoint.

Agreed, this is the ideal model, no fluff to save face or futile attempt to try emulate the 10 week internship. Virtual is less than ideal, it's an unfortunate fact so just keep it honest and give people the most amount of training possible given the circumstances and don't waste their time any further with additional weeks of bull. Props to Stifel it's a big move, hopefully the rest of the industry follow

Funniest

So as an incoming bofa intern who withdrew my Citi app the day I got a superday invite (to give other people chances cause it'd be quite selfish) and already had an offer from Stifel, I am completely convinced that this whole quarantine + virtual internship shit is a bad joke from God.

Didn't you see the update of BAML today? We are fine lol and BAML is way better than Stifel or Citi

They sent an email about 4 weeks ago saying everything was going to proceed, less the training in NYC for regional interns ( I'm with regional coverage group energy/power/ tech/industrials). They then sent a follow up today saying interns are all guaranteed a FT offer, with the start dates for FT to be determined at a later date. I imagine the fact that it has smaller groups really helped them make this decision, similar to Moelis

They had just stated the internship would continue a normal, albeit, with remote training, given some interns are in regional locations. We didn't hear anything for about 4 weeks, then they sent the above ^^ . I hope that helps

Same, heard a friend from Stifel was FT recruiting. I was suprised to say the least but I guess they were misleading or dishonest about the offers.

I was an intern there this summer and can confirm this is true - any fellow stifel interns having a tough time with FT recruiting since we technically never received a return offer? Well that’s exactly where I’m at and I’m starting to shit myself a little bit considering how late in the recruiting cycle we are at still in the dark with stifel.
