Stock Beta
If a stock has a beta of 65%, does that translate to a beta of 1.65? By that logic, does a beta of 115% equal to 2.15?

Does 65% translate to 1.65? Think my brother, think.
I know the most obvious answer is for it to be 0.65 but for some reason one of my peers told me that I was wrong so it must just be a formatting thing as the below poster is suggesting
Are you looking at it in excel or something and the cell is formatted in %? Why would 65% be 1.65? Wouldn’t that be .65? Maybe I’m reading this wrong because of the gin?
Run this by your peer, see what he thinks. If beta is relative to the S&P and the S&P has a value of 1.....and a stock’s beta is 1....could it be that it is also 100%....of 1?
