Stressed on how to prepare for DCM SA

I’m a UK humanities student who managed to land a SA 2023 position at a big balance sheet bank in DCM

Because of my background, I’m not the most comfortable with numbers / data, etc (my questions were 95% behavioural). Last time I used excel was 5 years ago for a high school project lol

I’m looking for tips from former SA or current analysts, ideally in DCM, on the software / skills one should master coming into the job to be efficient (Excel? Bloomberg? Ppt?). Any insight is very much welcome

Hey Intern in IB - DCM, I swear if I had a silver banana for every lonely thread I posted too I'd be richer than @compbanker ...

More suggestions...

Fingers crossed that one of those helps you.

You'll be given intensive training in the first week anyway on PowerPoint and Excel. Just make sure you grasp what they're doing. If you fall behind, it will be noticable.

Mostly PPT and some Excel work for DCM.
