Striking Out and Need Help Desperately
Rising senior who spent this summer at a BB/EB but didn't get a return offer. I've since had two FT Superdays that I thought went well, but it's been about a week for both with no update.
For people who have been through this, is a week of silence after a Superday basically a rejection, or do offers actually come later?
I'm also starting to worry about what happens if I strike out of banking entirely. A huge reason I've worked toward finance is that I want to make enough to support my family, and I'm scared I've permanently put myself behind by not converting my summer or these processes.
Would really appreciate perspective from anyone who struck out of IB recruiting and still ended up doing well financially.
Why did you not get an RO / have you applied those lessons in your FT recruiting?
I'm in the same boat as you man. Unfortunately a wk of silence after SPD is a rejection in FT context, but don't give up
How do you know? Like obv I'm hard coping but I don't see any offer updates on LinkedIn or anything and wouldn't have assume they ghost me after a super.
People don't always post, and they may be trying to shop their offer around. In general though, waitlists are rare for FT recruiting, and ghosting after a SPD isn't uncommon either.
Not saying it's impossible, but just move on to the next
Fair. Man I blew my shot at IB LMAO
Nah bro there's still possibility for the smaller MM places. It's not ideal yea, but my plan is to try getting one of those and then lateral up after 6mo/yr.
Any way I can pm you?
