Student Seeking Career & Internship Advice - Thank you in advance
I’m a student at a top Canadian university pursuing a degree in actuarial science (math), but I want to have a career in Investment Banking. I'm currently in my freshman summer and actively seeking IB internships. I have a GPA on the low side (3.35) because my school is known to be tough and I have to take many advanced math courses for my major, rather than accounting and finance classes. I did apply to some boutiques and BBs, but had no response from those. So, I'm currently doing a bad finance internship in Asia which I got through some family connections. On the side, I'm learning financial modeling through WSP and I hope that it could be some useful experience for me. I would greatly appreciate any advice on how to get through the resume screening process and land some interviews.
Thank you for your time.
