Study Engineering or Actuarial Science
Hello every I have been considering working in Finance for some time however I love math more than any other class. Should I major in Engineering or Actuarial Science? I feel like either one would be a great degree; on top of tha passing the CFA exam would make me an excellent candidate. However, I also feel that studying actuarial science would sort of lock in my options in only becoming an actuary; where as with engineering if finance is not my thing I could always find a job as an engineer.
Any advice?

Are you 100% sure that you want to work in finance? Just because you love math doesn't mean that you'll enjoy finance courses... try taking a few classes and seeing what you think.
As for choosing a major, I always tell the new freshmen at my college to choose a major by what interests them most. Both engineering and actuarial science are degrees that'll teach you the quantitative skills you need in finance. Choose whichever one you enjoy more.
