Sumitomo Mitsui's 6 month analyst training program

Hi WSO,

I saw a posting for Sumitomo Mitsui's 6 month analyst training program. I was wondering if anyone on WSO had any experience with the program? Does Mitsui do this in lieu of the traditional summer analyst programs. How many hours per week during the school year is one required to work? I think it looks like a great program from both the student and bank's prospective.

It is not an internship. It is more of an internal training program geared towards you learning more about the firms culture and employees. Theyre fairly new to US full-time recruiting, so they use this program to hedge any potential bad eggs (if I recall this is only their 5th year doimg actual FT recruitiing in the U.S).

Disclaimer: i was accepted last year, but ultimately declined for a BB. Great firm and people, though
