Summer Analyst - Not much work?
Currently, I'm working as an IB SA, but I feel like although I'm staffed on several projects, my workload is tremendously light this summer, and I feel like should be doing more work or taking on additional projects (considering the stories I've heard). I'm wary of taking on more because of the potential ramp-up from my existing projects, but also feel a bit guilty cause it feels like my teams' analysts and associates are getting overworked.
Is it normal to feel this way at times? Am I just being a dumbass and should I just relax while I can?

Yeah man you probably won’t be doing much. You’re a net negative to the deal team so you’re going to likely get less work the busier people are. Counterintuitive but that’s the way it goes. Plus being remote makes it even harder to teach you / get you up to speed.
what should interns do in this case then?
Would just check-in with your team 2-3 times throughout the day and offer to help. They’ll loop you in where they can
