Constantly modelling is so fucking boring (even though I don’t model as an intern) and the fact that I’m at work at 3am

I enjoy the clients, the strategic intuition and the work is piss easy

As someone who likes to model, I'd say that modeling is an important skill to have. It certainly doesn't hurt you to know how to produce a good but not perfect (no need for a super complex one) LBO or M&A model.

On the other hand, I used to have a job where I look at models all day and don't think about business activities or strategic elements for over 15 minutes. I have to admit I was bored. Fucking, bored.

Persistency is Key

Do they do much modelling in ECM?

I honestly just enjoy following markets much more and working on an IPO seems way more interesting

I’m interning at JPM/GS rn but ideally wanna go MS coz my best mate is there. Is there anything special about MS ECM?
