Summer Internship RESUME ERROR
I applied for summer analyst position in Citi, and uploaded my resume (which was supposed to be 1 pg) after submitting, I realized that the uploaded resume actually ran a line over to a second page! The instructions specifically said it had to be 1 page long! Do you think they will not consider me because of this stupid mistake??
Mistakes happen to everyone at one point or another of your recruiting period.
Don't stress too much and just move on.
From personal experience in recruiting, I've never seen anyone get dinged for running 1 line over. Most people recognize it as a glitch in the system.
You probably won't get into too much of a mess. Most people realize how fickle the systems are, and if you upload files through their portal they get messed up much of the time. That's why I hate it when a firm refuses to accept PDFs online and want .doc, .rtf, or some other bullshit format like that. PDFs allow you to guarantee error-free formatting, and I'm not sure why any firm would want to stay in the dark ages when there's such a viable format out for so long now.
