Summer start Audit Internship for summer at big four issues

I got an offer to do a summer start audit internship at a Big Four but you have to accept for both sophomore and junior summer. Would be nice to have the name on my resume but I am not sure what to do about that second internship. I want to do IB my Junior year summer.

Congrats on the Big Four offer! That's a great achievement. However, I understand your concern about committing to two summers, especially when you're eyeing Investment Banking (IB) for your junior year.

Here's a little nugget of wisdom from the WSO threads: Your junior year summer internship is the most crucial one if you're aiming for a career in IB. It's often seen as a stepping stone to a full-time offer post-graduation.

That being said, having a Big Four name on your resume after your sophomore year could be beneficial. It shows you've had exposure to a professional environment, and you've developed some transferable skills.

For your junior year, you might want to target an internship more aligned with your IB aspirations. Remember, some big players like Citi start their recruiting process over a year in advance for junior year internships.

So, you could consider accepting the Big Four offer for your sophomore summer, and then start networking and preparing early for your junior year IB internship.

But remember, this is your journey. Make sure whatever path you choose aligns with your career goals and feels right for you. Good luck!
