Career Resources
They basically say it in the press release: " The acquisition will accelerate the growth and geographic reach of Leerink’s offering, while providing SVB with a diverse and growing revenue stream, as well as the opportunity for their collective clients to leverage the broadest set of products and services available."
Leadership isn't moving, there's an employee retention pool for 5 years, and both pursue similar objectives with their clients. What this is really going to impact is their current and future clients. There's going to be a significant increase in capital, as well as a new range of complementary services. Plus SVB works with a wider variety of related sectors than Leerink currently does, meaning there's now an easier in and potential mutual benefits for Leerink's healthcare/medical tool/bio-pharma companies in need of SVB's hardware/software or energy clients. Hopefully, this will massively increase the rate at which their clients are able to develop their P&S.
Here's to improving healthcare/biotech/pharma development.
