Target Grad School - no undergrad finance degree

I’m currently a 1st year graduate student at a target school, NYU getting my masters in quantitative management, with option to transfer to MBA after 30 credits. I’m fairly new to finance, but highly interested in breaking into IB or other areas of finance. My undergrad was not in finance. What are some things I can do outside of my coursework to gain the eligibility similar to a finance grad?

You might want to transfer to the MBA. NYU as a whole isn't really a target - Stern is. Its placement predominantly comes from undergrad and MBA, so I doubt your 1-year Masters would be enough. Also, IBD recruiting this year is nearing its end, so you might be behind already.
