As a competitor, I’m a fan of the seniors there - as bankers and people

Nice people, very sharp seniors, and great training program, but super sweaty team as An or Asso
How sweaty are we talking?
Posts from a year or two ago say it’s very sweaty and culture might be shit
Interacted with several A&As and a few VPs over the past year. Came away with a mid impression of the group. Very intense/sweaty, the overall energy seemed a bit off, and a number of people appeared fairly checked out. It didn't feel particularly representative of the broader TD culture from my experience. They recently brought in a new senior who revamped the interview process as well to be more in line with the top P&U groups so I know the interviews have gotten noticeably harder than before
Yes, they hired a former staffer from Lazard's PEI group. Not surprised that the group has gotten sweatier as a result. I will say that the group has gotten slightly less sweatier than 1-2 years ago since they have been increasing headcount significantly, so deal teams aren't extremely lean anymore. I mean, it's still an infra group so you will be grinded no matter what. Definitely not representative of TD groups as a whole like you said. Friendly people though.
Seems like there's a lot of fear mongering about this group. It averages like 70-80 hours per week, which is nowhere near the worst on the street.
