Tech-Enabled Services Group Jefferies?
Hello everyone. Does anyone have any insight into this group? I am going to speak to them early next year. I have a friend of a friend who has some great things to say in terms of culture, wlb, and deal flow. I have another distant friend who is not so enthusiastic. Both are currently working there. I also saw a thread or two on wso about them being split across nyc / clt. Does anyone know how that works?

Solid team of guys. Not a top group at JEF but they bring in enough interesting deals and the culture is good to great.
Any insight on the sf tech group as well? Culture and dealflow etc
Stay away man
Why?
Why? Like if it’s going to be my only offer, I want to at least know what I’m getting into
Also curious
Have an interview with the TES team on Wednesday (in two days from this comment post). Spoke with 3 ppl from the group and they were all great in terms of culture and the way they come across. I come from a non-target so for me, the group ranking doesnt matter too much, as IB is great from my school anyway. I am intervieiwing with a VP from the team and this is for the Summer of 2024. It is so early in the process as it is Jan 2023 and the internship is June 2024. If anyone replies to this comment in a few days, I can say what I was asked in my first round interview.
Hey man! I love to get some of the insights you had from the interview. I hope you landed an offer. Best!
It was only a first round, so I cannot get an offer lol. I would say it was a good interview. We bonded on some hobbies and the interviewer mentioned a few time how happy they are with the conversation. Not sure if they were saying this just to be nice, but I would assume a bit of both. Since the TES team recruits seperately than Jefferies Generalist program, their interview structure is different. I am speaking to someone else on the team in the next week or two. Once again, not sure if this is because the interviewer was not 100% confident in passing me on to next round, or if this is their usual process. Everyone I asked about passing me on to someone else said that is a bit weird. In terms of questions I got literally ZERO technical questions asked. I was told multiple times from the TES bankers that they hire like 75% based on fit, which is great. My interviewer was also super energetic, happy, and seemed to care about my life more than my experiences. I had a great experience overall and hope to move on to a super day tbh. I will not go into question specifics, but the basic tell me about urself and questions from experiences on my resume and what i do outside of classes. Not sure what else I can write about the interview. Also, the group was all poached from WF back in like 2016 I believe. So one of the newer groups at Jefferies.
That response was all over the place and probably sounded like chicken scratch, but I hope it could help some of you in the future.
How'd you get an interview so early? Are apps open?
