The best unknown jobs in finance/unique career paths
Much of the conversation in this forum and overall media focuses on IB/PE and going through the common paths of M&A, trading, and so on. I'm curious to hear about your experience/people that you have met/people you have heard whose jobs/career paths consist of amazing experiences in terms of the actual job role/perks/access/pay but that aren't broadly talked about. For example, relationship managers who travel the world meeting UHNWI in exotic locations or individuals that 'created' their own path eg. Ian Osborne (the FT has a good article titled '‘A real man of mystery’: how Ian Osborne built a $1.5bn venture capital firm' - can't post the link).
