The only experience worse than SA at FTP

I started FT at a upper-level BB(GS, MS, JPM) this past year after lateraling from a lower-tier BB. In the nicest way possible, I've always been known as the "IT girl". I don't mean that to sound cocky, I'm just aware that I'm very attractive and it's easy to use that to my advantage, especially working in IB where half the guys are running on a 6-month dry spell. I wanted to share my story on this platform so that people can be more aware of how their actions come across in the future. After starting, I was quickly singled out by one of the younger directors. We had networked a few times over the phone and due to my lively and charismatic personality, we hit it off quickly and often scheduled weekly networking calls to stay in touch before I started working. Looking back, I didn't realize how I might have come off to him at the time, but I could see how I might have been perceived as flirtatious.

The first month, he singled me out to work on his deal team and we would often spend late nights together going over decks and the models I was working on. On Friday, our group finished up early and he invited us all out to get dinner. At dinner, we were friendly but professional. At the end of the night, he asked me to help him wrap some things up back at the office. I enjoyed spending time with him so I happily followed him back into the office. As we were working I felt myself drawing closer to him. I don't know what came over me but one thing led to another and we started making out on the desks.

We moved into his office and things got mutually heated. I won't specify what all happened but I took plan B the next morning. I later came to find out that he had a wife, which I didn't know at the time. Ever since then I was placed on worse and worse deals. Which honestly is saying something because this bank's deals are already pretty shit to begin with. The only thing weaker than their performance on the league tables was the director's stroke game.

Sorry for the long-winded post, but I wanted to make people aware of the power dynamics in the office, and the line between being friendly and being flirty.

Are you blaming the director for the fact you slept with him? Literally nothing in your post indicates you were raped or harassed. It is extremely clear that this event happened through mutual consent and you were very much conscious and aware of what you are doing. Part of me even believes you did it hoping to gain a favor (the fact you mention how many of your coworkers are on a “dry spell” implies that you’re saying sleeping with them as a hot girl makes it easy for you to get ahead). The only reason you’re posting this is because his wife found out and is angry at him which led to your plan of using your beauty as a secret advantage to fail.

Genuine question, does this generally happen often or would you say this is an exception in IB?
