Things that happened during an interview

Anyone had this happen before? or Anyone have insight to what it means? FT superday at BB (think ML, MS, GS)

Two of the interviews went very well, and I answered all technical questions correctly. Interesting conversation of the present credit markets and its effects on deals ensued.

However, 2 of the interviews seemed to deviate from the norm

One interviewer asked only 2 questions during a 30 minute interviewer, which forced me to ask questions for the remainder of the session (about 20 minutes) One interviewer seemed consistantly searching for questions after I answered his mostly fit/situational questions

Both interviews lacked any technical questions or brain teashers, would lack of interview questions express disinterest in me as a candidate? lack of preparation on the part of an interviewer? Simply a lack of time due to other pressing work?

I ask these questions because I felt that I did not get a shot to prove myself during the ladder two interviewers as the questions (or lack of them) were very basic and did not leave room to distinguish myself.

All help if appreciated.

hate to derail your thread, but where in the world do you go to school where you have super days in early september? or were these 'accelerated interviews' you're referring to?

yea, outside of those for kids recruited directly from summer internships, it seems really early for superdays. i just had a first round interview hooked up through an alum, and I thought it was early even for that. damn. it looks like us non-offer having chumps are pretty much screwed.

Im not sure why it matters? I am not lying as I am not concerned with my "prestige" on this board, but I am actually seeking help.

it doesnt matter much, i was just curious. it has nothing to do with prestige at all, and your original post was certainly credible and a reasonable question, so there's no need to be defensive.

I think they use those techniques (lack of questions, seeming uninterested) as a test to see how you react and handle it. I've heard about them before in the past.
