Everytime I think like this, I try and remember that I once worked so hard to get here and that there are probably another 200 people who would want to be in my shoes right now (job-wise, not weekend work-wise)

That's just it, though! Tons of people want "the job" and intellectually believe they can weather its sacrifices before they viscerally internalize what being an ibanking analyst really means. I'm sure it's difficult to keep your mojo when it's your 3rd Friday grinding on excel at 2 am.

That's me, updated my original post haha. Heading to Miami tomorrow. Finally felt nice to be able to enjoy both days of the weekend after so long..

Which bank you are at? I haven't worked a single Saturday since December and I am in an M&A team (not known for good culture on the street).

Likely your senior just has terrible time management skills or unrealistic expectation on what you can accomplish at once

Baml lol. And yeah it really feels like just poor management. Absolutely poor they literally give no consideration for us juniors. And when we grind through the weekend to push the book out (which isn’t even needed on monday btw) all we get is some permutation of yeahhh thanks for the hard work guys.

Like hello??? Yeah thanks and then what???
