Thoughts on Centerview PA after Tidal spin-out?

Is the quality of Centerview Partners' Palo Alto office still good after the Tidal Partners spin-out where a lot of folks left? What's the consensus about how Centerview will stack up against other non-GS/MS/Q tech banks which are good (LZ/EVR/JPM)? Will looks still be given from MFs and top VC/GE shops?

Still a very strong group, as the seniors that left were the old guard that CVP brought in the new guard led by MacDonald to replace, and no one part of the new guard left. A lot of good mid-level and junior employees left, so the office will take a bit of time to rebuild itself, but it's the seniors that drive the deal flow so given time the office will be fine.

Also, CVP PA never had very strong looks from top MF buyout firms to the extent of GS/MS/Q or even EVR/JPM/LAZ. Most of their historical placements were into MM-UMM Buyout or UMM-MF Growth/VC, and they'll probably continue to receive those looks.
