I noticed that there isn't much about DA Davidson on WSO, but they have been growing rapidly across all their groups and just acquired Marlin & Associates this summer, a boutique fintech investment bank in New York. Their tech team has been picking up pace and had +$20 billion in transactions YTD which seems very solid. Curious to hear any thoughts about them as a firm and how they fare with other MM banks?

Had a buddy work there and was told their bread and butter is FIG. Not too sure about their fintech presence.
I also heard this - their best team is FIG
As an investor in this category, don't see DA Davidson a lot. Canaccord, Blair, Vista Point, Peak, Stifel, all come up more, even Raymond James and FT Partners if you want to stretch the definition of "middle market" a bit

I am confused by your placement of Raymond James. Are you saying they are working on bigger or smaller deals than the rest of them? I would say Blair is easily doing bigger deals than RayJay, but would put RayJay above everyone else you listed.
