Thoughts on Macquarie Capital SA -> BB FT
Was looking for some advice on tracks for this. I've wanted to get into a BB for SA but missed a lot of the deadlines due to my sophomore gig recruiting cycles and finals
Thanks!

Career Resources
Macquarie has some solid groups (e.g, Infra, S&S and CGL). Have seen some decent exits coming out of those groups.
Thanks for the insight On the app, it was relatively general and I believe they place on experience in certain areas or something along those lines. Hoping to get into the S&S group.
no reason to leave macquarie imo unless you don't like it, does really well in the areas they specialize in and culture there is known to be one of the better ones on Wall Street. also dont think you should expect a macquarie offer after getting a referral, like all banks that people have heard of it is incredibly competitive
Very much agree with you. I actually have a friend who graduated and took on an FT role with them. Amazing firm from many angles and I'm very aware that a referral won't turn over into an offer. However, I know I have what it takes to leverage that referral, and my experience to be considered a good candidate.
Is this the Uber guy posting again? Get off your high horse man. You would be lucky to land a Macquarie offer don’t be entitled and try to trade immediately. Also a referral doesn’t even guarantee an interview let alone an offer.
Wrong guy, but I never said I expect an interview with them to begin with. I feel confident in my ability to interview and perform, think you got it twisted.
No you got it twisted buddy you’re asking about full time recruiting and trading up when you do not even have a summer internship secured. This is a beyond stupid question. Get an internship first. Get on the desk experience it for a couple of weeks then if you don’t like it or want something more begin networking for ft halfway through your junior sa.
