Thoughts on Nomura’s London IB division? Specifically it’s Healthcare, Nordic and Greentech Sector teams. What is culture, career progression etc like?

Any thoughts / feelings / insights on Nomura’s London IB Team?

Any insight is more than appreciated.

Greentech (part of GII, Greentech Infrastructure and Industrials) is top notch. Large team with great deal flow. Good exposure as a junior. Culture is also pretty good with team building trips organised to Zurich or San Diego. Long working hours tho. Exposure to Digital infra and industrials as well as it’s the same team and junior can be staffed on all sub sectors (also regular infra or energy).

Nordics also pretty good. Staffed on a lot of GII deals, resulting in a good deal flow as well. Long working hours as well. Culture seems pretty good to.

Don’t know much about healthcare but it’s a fairly new team. Closed a couple of ok deals but nowhere near GII or Nordics. Culture was average from what I heard.

Also a good team with good exposure as a junior. Team does the LBO modeling (FSG team doesn't in most cases). Good exit as well to BBs or large credit funds. I heard culture isn't the best tho. Considering market conditions, that's not a team I'd want to join tbh (very cyclical)
