Thoughts on PEI Global Partners?
Looks like growing enegy/power/renewables-focused boutique with team that came from jefferies and cantor. Pretty high on league tables this year. Thoughts?

Sweatshop but will get a lot of transaction experience, have a solid rep in power space. As you noted they've been growing.
Heard it’s mostly financing though, not m&a
Wondering about their rep as well
From someone who is a first year analyst there (not me but my buddy) it is a sweatshop but pay is good.
How bad of a sweatshop are we talking
Also how good of pay, 1st year total comp around $180k?

yea how many hours are we talking? ppl's definition of "sweatshop" can be different
I can assure you that it is squarely within the hours range of the notorious "sweatshop" groups frequently mentioned on this website. They are a very active and growing boutique in the P&U space which is a sector everyone knows to be pretty brutal in general. They pitch a lot but are also consistently winning mandates (they will also never turn down a mandate).
Every PUI team is a sweatshop
heard through friend that comp was far above street this year for analysts
What was total comp?
PEI @ 240 for 1st yr and 260-280 for 2nd years in NYC and Tampa from another thread but heard recently from a friend who is familiar these ranges are low
I’ve heard from one of my analyst friends there it’s very sweaty but I’m sure pay is good. What’s interesting about PEI is that it started in the last few years (I wanna say 2021) and they always have a lot of junior retention and have scaled the business quite well.
