Tips for lateral analyst w no previous IB experience

I recently accepted an offer to move to banking after ~2 years in strategy consulting (ignore my title). I'm grateful for the opportunity but have some concerns, as I've never worked in banking previously.

I've done plenty of modeling courses and feel comfortable on a technical basis. Can anyone provide tips for how to adjust to life in banking/how to ramp up quickly and be helpful?

Anything is greatly appreciated.

Congrats! Sorry I'm not much help here, but I will hopefully be in the same boat down the road and am wondering what the process was like interviewing for lateral without prior IB experience. What did the interviewers focus on? Case studies? Industry knowledge? FWIW, to answer your question I would instinctively first look through some recent decks and discussion materials and see how they like to format charts, slides, etc. Assuming you've already started, I'd imagine you could also find pro-forma financials for a prior client and work your way through a model and compare to the ones that made it through onto the decks. Probably smart to schedule 15-30 minute intro calls with other analysts/associates to find out their tendencies and what they're working on.
