Take this as starting from only having a foundational understanding of accounting and valuation principles. The rest - i.e. industry knowledge, industry specific terminology, and all that comes with it - zero.
If you, hypothetically speaking, were to begin preparation with the hope of breaking into TMT IB, my questions to you would be:
Where would you begin? What would you place an emphasis/focus on? Where would you look to find appropriate resources? What would you do to align yourself with becoming the best possible candidate for the role?
