To network or not to network?

I am a 3.7+ econ major at a east coast target, as well as a varsity athlete - however, i struck out on SA recruiting last year. I have been (trying to) networking to best position myself for FT offers; however, I was just wondering if it was appropriate with everything going on? Would it be better to wait until May/June - or just say screw it and start now?

Why wait? Your competition isn’t taking the bake seat with recruiting. And employees only have more time to take your call now.
