To those that stated they would quit once they receieved their bonus in the summer, are you quitting now that your firm has increased base pay/may increase base pay in the near future?

There was a big thread a few months ago of people stating that they would quit or find another job ASAP to lateral too once they got their bonus in the summer. Do people still intend on quitting?

I know a few people in the group I used to be at are leaving. Honestly, I think these sort of bumps were more targeted to keep associates from bouncing and trying to stop the immediate bleeding in groups. I'm not sure if this will increase analyst retention since most analysts, for better or for worse, still see the buyside as the end goal.

 

Lol surprisingly during the wintertime most first years (assuming that's what you're asking . since majority 2nd years leave anyway.) who were commiserating said they wanted to stay as  of now into their second year and get buyside.
