You should get your Numbers if you’re not getting enough responses, up to 100-150 per week still wouldn’t be too much but obviously ensure you’re also a well rounded candidate
Thanks for the reassurance. My hit rate seems decent, but I'm going to ramp it up to 20 a day.
Just to alumni? Only a handful of schools even have that volume of alumni, and I thought we weren’t supposed to reach out to non-alumni as a target

That’s bad advice lol, reach out to everyone, probably start with alum, then other non targets you have something in common with then all non targets into all schools.
This method only really applies to non- targets. I maybe reach out to 120 people total but I targeted my search. Made sure that my conversations were meaningful and I had plenty of interviews. If you are at a non target then yes you have to shoot 100s of emails

You need to be sending out at least 20-30 a day. Shoot for 100 a week. You're neither late nor early. Some people are way ahead of you

Does most networking end by November? How many referrals should I aim to have by the end of everything?
You are not cooked at all; there is plenty of time left. I would be shooting to send around 50 emails a week at this stage. It's important that you also network with a wide variety of banks. I think it happens far too often that those recruiting focus on the same 10-15 names. There are many lesser-known banks out there that people don't know about and are worth networking at.
Some of the smaller firms end up being more close-knit as well and may be a better fit depending on what you are looking for.
