Too late to apply to US summer 2021 roles?

Currently a US citizen doing undergrad in the UK at a target school. Going into my second year of a three year economics degree so whatever internship I do in 2021 is likely going to be my FT offer. I'm fully planning on applying to London roles which are opening now/through August. Is it too late to apply to US positions as well? I understand that most of the recruiting process has been done already, but some apps are still open. Is there any point in applying? For example goldman is one application for both London and NY so I can include NY when I'm applying for London. Any point in doing this and also trying to actively network in the US as well? I sent out a few emails to alumni working in NY and have some calls scheduled next week, but have not done any US applications yet.
