Too late to get into investment banking?

Honestly I have no idea about any concepts or topics related to IB. I bought the BIWS course and have started to learn some topics but there is a lot to learn. I plan to dedicate this summer to build these skills and also start networking. I would be entering my third year of undergraduate studies in September of 2019. I know recruiting for Summer 2020 has already started for many of the big firms but I have not bothered to apply as I would likely not even get an interview and the slight chance I do, I would do poorly on the interview. Just want to hear what you guys think and if you have any advice I would greatly appreciate it.
