Too old at 33 for Point72 Academy (Experienced Professionals Analyst Program)?

I am curious to know what is the average age of people in Point72's Experienced Professionals Investment Analyst program. I am currently a VP in IB (BB). Thanks

No

But with that much experience, it really begs the question, why are you applying to the academy instead of a pod seat?

Ya, you probably are. They typically want 5 YOE max, and I’m not sure I’ve seen more. As the other person said, if you really want to make the jump then just talk with BD but understand that you’ll be balls deep in excel most every day and you better have damn good sector knowledge because a PM can go find the base skill set in a much younger analyst with pretty minimal effort.

Hi! This is helpful information because I'm also trying to understand what the EH Academy is looking for and if it's worth applying if I don't have previous finance experience.

I have an MBA and another graduate degree from a target school. I'm a nontraditional candidate with a strong resume (think Truman/Fulbright/Marshall), VC and consulting experience, and a good story of why public markets. However, I come from a liberal arts/nonprofit/education background and don't have a great transcript. (I sacrificed grades to focus on experiences that helped me build that strong resume—welcome to the MBA haha.)

What are my chances, realistically?

Thank you!
