Transaction Advisory to IB Associate?

The title explains itself, looking for some feed back from the community and anyone who's made the switch without an analyst stint. Ideally not looking to go back to get an MBA but understand that it might be necessary.

Background: Currently - regional firm working in both transaction advisory (FDD, Quality of Earnings) and business valuation 1 year - corp strategy at a F500 3 years - MM BV (RSM, GT) 3.3 GPA, non-target undergrad

What are some exit opps from transaction advisory if IB doesn't pan out?
