Transaction Banking at Goldman Sachs

Recently I have been looking into Transactional Banking at GS after a friend introduced me to some people who worked in that sector. The whole idea of it sounds quite interesting but I would like another POV on the matter. So from you guys, what are you thoughts of Transactional Banking? It is within the Investment Banking Department, so would it be possible to jump into IB from there? Exit Ops?
