Unless you don’t have friends at school rn I don’t think it’s worth it. Just enjoy your life. You go to an ivy, if it don’t place it’s on u

Cornell now has a respectable ranking across every reputable ranking. It also genuinely has strong academics and placements across several different industries.

Stern is a mediocre school full of Ivy League rejects with shills jizzing all over WSO. People legitimately compare it to Ivies and the like (not even just Cornell) because it has decent representation in IB, ignoring the fact that Stern has thousands of kids gunning for jobs that kids from Ivies and etc. don’t even want.

There’s a right answer and it ain’t Cornell shills.

I'm sorry but those rankings are bunk lmao no one is picking Cornell over Columbia, I'm sorry to say.

Cornell is a great school but I don't take the rankings at their face value.

Impartial here but if Stern is mediocre then so is Dyson, and the admission standards at Stern are higher than Cornell (SAT/GPA) and equal to other low ivies. And re: placement it's the same size as Wharton with 80% of the placements so.

Of course no one would go to Stern over an Ivy (except cornell and I've seen Brown, but I wouldn't in a million years).

Just don't think we should be jerking off one B-tier target when its not even better than the other.

Anyone who says you should transfer needs their testosterone checked. You can break into IB from any of those schools and the marginal difference in prestige gets completely overshadowed by meaningful amount of effort. If you don’t break in from one of these schools you won’t break in from anywhere. The only situation I can understand is if you have no friends at Cornell/Brown and want a fresh start.
