Transferring

Hey first time WSO here,

First Year at Williams, was wondering whether I should transfer to a school like Columbia/Dartmouth if I want to pursue hedge funds (Citadel, Citsec) and prop trading firms (JS/HRT). I hear their Lionfund/CFIG does well.

Advice/Thoughts?

Bro… u have a way easier shot of placing per capita at Williams. It’s a target school. Make some friends and enjoy the liberal arts experience

yeah but doesn’t Columbia send tens of people to these funds and shops every year?

I go to Amherst and we (as much I love our school, you guys are more of a target than us) can still place into those places if you hustle. If you don't like the experience at Williams, you can transfer, but leaving won't change your job opportunities much.

Echoing the "other NESCAC alums" comment.
