Transferring to a regional office during A2A
Will be joking a bank based out of New York with a few other offices in the United States. I’m not sure if I want to do A2A or recruit for PE, but if I do end up doing A2A, I’d be highly interested in transferring to a regional office near my home town both due to CoL and because I grew up near the area. Are banks generally supportive of this, or would I have to lateral to a different bank in that city? I don’t want to say the name, but one of Gugg/Greenhill/Jeff/Roths/HL
Furthermore, is it a bad idea to want to transfer after being an analyst? Would progression be harder in a regional office?
Transferring to Houston might be difficult to move up if the energy teams are cutting headcount
chicago / dallas / California should be fine for the firms you listed
