Transition Germany-NYC

Dear WSO,
although I have a couple of years left for my plans I would be very interested in your opinion. I graduated from High School in Germany last year (native German) and my long-term goal is to work in NYC at a BB.
I am going to apply to several colleges across Europe due to money issues because it is much more common here to finish a Master's program before starting to work.
What would you recommend me to achieve that long-term goal of mine?
I appreciate any kind of help, thank you very much!

Sil:

In my experience, the education you have received in Germany should put you above your peers in the US. I lived in Germany for a few years, so feel free to PM me if you need any more help.

Thank you very much for your help! I will get back to your offer if I have further questions in the next months
above_and_beyond:

The easiest and most common way would be: - Complete your bachelor's degree at a European target / German target (Mannheim, WHU, HSG) in case that you are not willing to pay high tuition fees + living costs in the UK - Aim for an analyst spot at a BB in Frankfurt or London - Try to transfer after your second year. Second year transfers are possible, but not as common as Associate transfer. At least at my bank it is quite common to leave your "home office" once you progress to an Associate role

Thank you for your help as well! I am glad that you explained the opportunities of transferring to me
