If by "best in the game" you mean "maybe top 10," then yes you are correct.

TPH is generally considered the best shop in the energy space by people who understand the energy space. Your statement flags you as someone who has no idea what they are talking about.

These guys are the folks that all of the bulge brackets use for research and fear loosing people to. They pay about 25% above street, and still manage to be more profitable than most banking groups.

 

Is this for their Houston office? If so, 90% fit, a few technicals. Same with superday except some brainteasers thrown in for good measure. If you get their final round, expect 10ish interviews over the course of a day.

Also, I thought they had finished up recruiting for FT, but if not, good luck.

Their NYC office is actually fairly new, iirc. I think they hired a couple guys that mostly do power (IPP's maybe?), so their interview style might be a little different, but then again, all ibd interviews are usually more or less the same. Good luck, man.
