UBS Appears to have Assigned Staffer to Monitor WSO and post Positive Misinformation

As the bank continues to struggle, it seems they assigned a staffer to put a multi paragraph positive spin on every UBS post. Interesting that this poster always includes the same three deals: Home Depot - SRS deal or the Rio Tinto - Arcadium or the Berry Global - Amcor, and always the same ED title.

You know its bad when you see HR-like defensive posts on WSO

I have never said the firm is doing well. My only claim has been that UBS has some good and bad groups, which I think is pretty much universally agreed on. Meanwhile, there is an AN2 and Associate 3 posting every day without fail just shitting on UBS. Am I the person posting positive misinfo or are you the ones posting negative misinfo?

Interesting that you didn’t dispute that UBS assigned someone, and that the Comms strategy is to just take the L on tech and M&T, and pump up all other groups

I have not been assigned by a firm. I thought it was very obvious by my takes but I suppose not. You have truly figured everything out, so smart.

No, but seriously, I am not a PR person, just think the firm is broadly misrepresented because it seems only people from the weakest groups are here.

Also just want to note that I still do broadly have a negative view of the state of the bank, as per my previous posts.  The transition hasn't worked out as expected, most groups suck because they haven't met any of their goals post-acquisition, and the leadership's decision-making with new hires has been bad with few exceptions from Barclays, and I expect layoffs. All those things are things that are pretty negative about the firm and that leadership would disagree with, reflecting the fact I overall have a fairly negative view of the firm; I am just able to at the same time have a realistic view of the broader firm and not let the negatives distract me from the state of the firm.
