Got dinged just now before HV: not sure how. Score was great, SJT was fine. Recruitment is just random at the end of the day so who knows? Still am in process for other firms so I'm glad something struck.

Candidates have to be eliminated somehow—I'll rather not have it EXCLUSIVELY be because I was too financially poor to attend certain universities. At least, tests can allow some levels of "merit"—however "BS" & luck-based the culture / situational judgement scoring might be—to give poor people a chance at a low-tier bank; more randomness means more hope for those who have been dealt unfortunate hands by life

 

Your point would make more sense if undergraduate uni tuition fees weren’t the exact same nationwide…
