UBS | Q&A

I’ve just wrapped up my internship with UBS Investment Banking (IBD) in the London office and I’m about to start my full-time role in Investment Banking.

Having recently gone through the application process, internship experience, and conversion to FT, I know how confusing and competitive it can feel. I’ve been reading a lot of the posts and Q&As here, and I’m more than happy to share insights on:

  • The application process
  • What IBD internships are actually like day-to-day
  • Expectations vs. reality
  • How to stand out and secure an offer
  • Tips for breaking into Investment Banking also from different background

I’m also a qualified mentor on the platform, so if it would be more helpful to have a focused 1:1 conversation, feel free to reach out privately.

Happy to help — looking forward to connecting

Are UBS bankers qualified to mentor people?

Hi, I completed an internship at UBS and received a full-time offer, but ultimately chose to pursue a full-time role at a boutique firm instead
