UF IB Recruiting and Perception During the Application Process

I am currently a student at UF and I am going into my sophomore year. How is UF perceived for IB and what are some tips for students coming from non-targets. I’ve also been given a transfer option to an Ivy for the fall of 2020 but I graduate in 2020 so having no GPA as a transfer will mess up my recruiting plans for my junior internship.

I'd say as long as he's already been accepted and committed to moving to the Ivy, it's fair game to start reaching out to alum from that school now. Grad year in 2022 means you've got plenty time til summer 2021 recruitment cycle to start making your connections and your story.

And from what I've seen, people tend to respect transfer stories bc it shows persistence and determination to keep putting yourself in a better position.

Transfer to the Ivy. Ivy without GPA is better than not having it. Start networking with alums of that Ivy when you think it is appropriate (before you enroll).
