Apparently CITIs rainmaker co-head of UK capital markets and advisory was put on leave after making certain "remarks" to a female staffer during an offsite. Anybody at Shiti have anymore details on this? What did he day to her? Was she an Analyst?
I know the guy. Very good at his job, very good to work for and well liked.
Very much cast from an old school mold. I dont have any details about the case, but to me it sounds like the case of a man of one generation being judged by the people of another.
These days there's no sense attending work social functions. All downside. HR has its little spies everywhere and you need to self censor to the point of not being able to express any personal opinion whatsoever (unless it's consistent with the virtue signaling sentiment handed down from Citi central)

No one gets a pass nowadays. Just look at the news. Regulators are getting iffy on "conduct" rules which encompasses both on-premise and off-premise and banks know it. This isn't the first guy to get reprimanded for something small like this and he won't be the last.
