UVA or Umass Isenberg?

I am trying to decide between these two universities. I want to major in finance but would be ok with majoring in econ if I did not get into Mcintire. I could go to Umass debt free or go into about 150k of loans for UVA. I hope to go into IB and am wondering if the doors UVA could open for me is worth taking the risk and going into debt.

UVA places well into IB but having the opportunity to go through school debt free is legit life-changing. Many place from state schools, you just would have to work like 30% harder but that would pay-off in translating that performance to the desk. UMass is the way.

If I decided I wanted to go to UVA do you think it would be realistic to assume I could pay off my loans on 4 years if on an aggressive plan to paying them off?

Bro like the other guy said, having that much student debt would change ur life. Imagine if u decide u don’t like finance? You would be stuck in it. Even if u do love IB ur budget would legit be so constrained. Don’t think it’s worth it

Literally go to school for free and take advantage of the resources there, if you truly want to get into banking you'll get in. Shit, you don't even know if you want to do finance, you simply have a perception that is likely very flawed. A lot of people will come in here and suggest UVA because of placements but their brains are so fried from prestige and salary glory that their opinions are worthless.
