VBA / Macro for IB SA
Purchased an excel and ppt course for SA prep, the last couple modules focus on VBA and Macros. Was wondering if covering these will be useful for the IB SA prep or just a waste of time?

It won't be part of your day-to-day, especially for an SA, but it's a nice asset for your toolkit and I've found some special applications in the past for non-standard analyses. For example, there was a task where we needed to run a Goalseek dozens of times for a specific data set, which might then change. I saved hours by using macros to do it.
But this isn't the norm and definitely wouldn't be standard for an SA. If you have better things to do (like studying for exams), I would give it a pass, but if you have some time to kill and have digested the rest of the material, it's good to have some familiarity.
